More than 30 of the 40+ incoming freshman and transfer students attended this year's orientation meeting for new psychology majors.  The meeting is designed to be a get-acquainted session.  The students meet faculty members for informal socializing and learn more about psychology major requirements, opportunities for research and practicum experiences, and potential career paths. Dr. Peter Butera, chair of the department, presented the new majors with the psychology student handbook and reviewed its contents with them.  Dr. Susan Mason, Dr. Tim Osberg, Dr. Irene Rykaszewski, Dr. Burt Thompson, and Dr. Donna Thompson each introduced themselves and discussed the courses they teach along with their research interests. Pizza and soda were shared by all.
