Chad Parmenter has just joined the faculty in fall 2012. He has had poems published in Best American Poetry, Harvard Review, and Kenyon Review. His paper, "Rereading the Yeatsian in 'Four Quartets'," won the T.S. Eliot Society's Fathman Award.

Ph.D. in English and Creative Writing from University of Missouri
M.F.A. in Creative Writing-Poetry from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale
B.A. in English from the University of Central Missouri.

Current research interests

Currently, I am working on several book-length poetry projects, as well as fiction and nonfiction. I am creative and critical interests continue to center around the intersection of literary culture with pop culture, as well as the evolving functions of persona in the 21st century.
