An alumna and native of Niagara Falls, Judith Willard began working at Niagara University in 1966 as a freshman work-study student in the financial aid office. After receiving her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education, she was appointed associate director of financial aid in 19972. She was promoted to director in 1978 and to assistant vice president for enrollment services in 1982. In 1986, she was appointed vice president of student advisement services, becoming the first woman to be named a vice president of the university. She was named to her current position in 1994. Willard holds a doctoral degree in education organization, administration and policy from the University at Buffalo and is a recipient of the university’s Medal of Honor for exceptional service.
