Bonnie Rose, Ph.D., joined Niagara University in August of 2002 as vice president for academic
affairs. She assumed the additional responsibility of serving as executive vice president in the fall of 2004.
Prior to joining NU, she had served since 1996 as the academic vice president of Niagara College of Applied Arts and Technology in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario.
Prior to her position at Niagara College, Dr. Rose served for nearly 20 years as president of W. S. Kubiski & Associates Ltd., a successful consulting firm. Working with her husband Dr. Walter Kubiski, she served such clients as universities and colleges that were engaged in large-scale transformation efforts. She also consulted on federal and provincial programs involved in implementing social change and innovation, often working with community groups.
An experienced educator, she has served as a course director and part-time faculty member at York University, Toronto, and at Carleton University and Algonquin College in Ottawa. She also served as a cooperative expert-in-residence at Innes College at the University of Toronto, and as a course developer and teacher for the Canadian Credit Union Institute. During her career, she has provided many conference presentations and has published several articles in non-refereed journals.
Dr. Rose earned both her doctorate in sociology and her master’s degree in environmental studies from York University of Toronto, Ontario. She did undergraduate studies in psychology at Carleton University of Ottawa, Canada, and in the School of Music at Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind.
Born in the United States, she holds dual U.S. and Canadian citizenship. She resides in Niagara Falls, Ontario.
