Don't let your study abroad experience end when you get off the plane. There are a number of ways you can continue to exploring other cultures while staying mobile. You can volunteer, intern, work, teach and enroll in graduate school. And most importantly, all of these can be done abroad!

Employment in Higher and International Education

Almost every international education provider and some colleges and universities offer employment abroad. You can be a guide for EF College Tours, or function as a leader for Semester at Sea. The possibilities to work in international education are endless.

Some colleges also offer employment abroad managing their programs and facilities. In addition, consider an M.S. degree in higher education and student affairs with a focus on international education and help others to reach the same heights you have.

  • Intern with CIS Abroad

  • Work, Intern and Teach with CIEE

    The Council on International Educational Exchange offers programs that go beyond studying abroad. Choose to intern, work, or teach in a variety of fields anywhere in the world.
  • Peace Corps

    Consider signing up to volunteer for two years working with impoverished populations teaching, working and serving.

    Opportunities are available to teach, work with children, work in the health and food security service, community development, information technology, agriculture and environmental science and participate in Earth Day and World Youth Day.
  • Transitions Abroad

    Due to growing tourism, globalization and changes in the world economy, there is a high demand in most countries to bring in native English speakers to help local populations connect better with American tourists and the global economy.     Attend graduate school abroad in the United Kingdom with the help of the Marshall Program
  • Freeman-ASIA

    Freeman-ASIA accepts applications from U.S. citizens or permanent residents studying at the undergraduate level at a two-year or four-year college or university who demonstrate financial need to study abroad in East or Southeast Asia.
