Handouts and On-Line Reference Tools:

Dartmouth College's Composition Center-Student Resources. This site offers an introduction to composing academic essays, with tips for writing in the humanities, natural sciences, and social sciences. www.dartmouth.edu/%7Ecompose/student/index.html

Purdue On-Line Writing Lab. This site offers many useful handouts on writing, writingacross-the disciplines,usage, grammar, and mechanics.

Rensselaer Writing Center. In addition to providing links to several other writing centers, the Rensselaer site offers several useful handouts on writing conventions across the disciplines. You will also find links to an on-line dictionary and thesaurus. www.rpi.edu/web/writingcenter
