English as Second Language
ENG 193-194, "English
as Second Language," is designed as a two-semester course
for international students and it provides intensive training
in the basics of English and guided practice in speaking, listening,
reading, and writing. Individualized instruction and assignments
supplement class work, all of which are designed to help students
develop English skills required for college courses. Students
may take the two semesters of ENG 193-194 out of sequence; however,
both semesters are generally required if international students
are to have a reasonable expectation of success in WRT 100, which
is required of all undergraduate students.
