RN to BS Program Information

Niagara University’s bachelor of science (B.S.) in nursing is a completion program for registered nurses, prepared in an accredited associate degree program or hospital school of nursing. The educational objectives of the B.S. are built upon the strong clinical nursing skills acquired in the associate degree program.

Niagara's nursing program inputs a transfer block of 30 credits of nursing courses and many general education requirements based on your transcript review (approximately 30 credits depending on the courses you took). The remaining 10 nursing courses (30 credits) and general education requirements are all that is necessary to complete the degree program. Transfer credit placement follows university policy and is in agreement with criteria set by other programs of study in the College of Arts and Sciences.

If you have taken courses at Niagara County Community College's Nursing Program, ask about our Articulation Agreement.

If you work in the Catholic Health System locally, be sure to ask about our Catholic Health System cohort.
