Niagara student-athletes once again have performed well in the classroom, with the group of 303 student-athletes earning a collective 3.27 grade-point average in the fall 2011 semester.

"I'm proud of our student-athletes for their consistent dedication to academic success,” Niagara Director of Athletics Ed McLaughlin said. “They are driven by the academic mission of the university and stand as the best students at Niagara University."

Of the 303 Niagara student-athletes, 210 of them (69.30 percent) earned a 3.0 grade-point average or higher. When compared to the rest of the student population at Niagara, a higher percentage of student-athletes earned a 3.0 grade-point average or better than the rest of the student body (61.47 percent).

Thirty-two student-athletes earned a 4.0 grade-point average or better. Sixteen of the 18 Niagara teams held a 3.0 grade-point average or better, led by volleyball (3.59) and women’s swimming and diving (3.49).
