Peter Saville got the idea for the sleeve from the Helmut Lang store in New York. The dark and gothic eagle represents Joy Division and the glitter ball New Order. The bird's name is Tilly.

Q: What version of Confusion is on the Pop CD?
A: The original 12" mix, i.e. track 1 on the 12".

Q: Is the Perfect Kiss version on RETRO5 the same as in the video?
A: No.

Q: Ceremony on the Pop CD sounds a little bit strange. Is that the way it's supposed to be?
A: Around 1:55 into the track there is a "murky" sound. This is not present on the version appearing on, say, International..

Q: How were the live tracks on the Live CD choosen?
A: [Detweiler 3.63] "...Bobby Gillespie was given a pile of band-owned mixing desk ordinary analog cassette tapes to go through, and made his selection of preferred tracks from there. Then a number of known tape traders/recorders were approached to see if they had a better audience copy of the chosen performances. Originally, two tracks (This Time of Night and Perfect Kiss) from Slough were to be included, but Bernard preferred TPK and Elegia from Glastonbury instead."
