Consistent, continuing truthfulness to oneself and to others.
Integrity shows itself in all aspects of Niagara University life. We see this value reflected in the professor who engages students in active-learning activities to help them gain practical knowledge and to enable them to appreciate and respect a variety of perspectives. We see it in the student who chooses to spend the semester break with other NU students in the BASIC program in Brooklyn, Philadelphia, or Panama, living with the Vincentians and sharing in their outreach. Integrity is evident in the employee whose commitment to the university enhances our ability to serve our students, and in the alumnus whose professional life remains true to the Vincentian values learned on Niagara’s campus. In the classroom, on the playing field, and through NU’s many extracurricular opportunities, students are encouraged to remain faithful to their personal goals through involvement in clubs and activities that offer opportunities for leadership development and community service, and through church-related activities of all denominations.
Fr. Levesque's Vision
We must be a university that is academically challenging and rewarding for our undergraduate and graduate populations and focus on entrance requirements, class requirements, rigor of exams, etc., that is, we must always provide an excellent education in content, pedagogy, etc.
