We see it in the student who chooses to spend the semester break with other NU students in the BASIC program in Brooklyn, Philadelphia, or Panama, living with the Vincentians and sharing in their outreach. We must be a university that is academically challenging and rewarding for our undergraduate and graduate populations and focus on entrance requirements, class requirements, rigor of exams, etc., that is, we must always provide an excellent education in content, pedagogy, etc.
