B.A.S.I.C. - (Brothers and Sisters in Christ)

Spend a week in service to the poor in one of several urban sites!  Work with the poor in a variety of settings:  schools, health programs, building projects,  visiting the elderly. The service work, coupled with time learning from and living with others committed to living the Vincentian spirit, will give us a week to grow more fully in the tradition of St. Vincent de Paul. If you are selected for a BASIC trip, you will be expected to attend an overnight, orientation retreat.   This is REQUIRED for you to participate on the trip. To apply - Stop by the Office of Campus Ministry, Lower Level Gallagher Center to pick up an application.

  • Students, faculty, and staff of all faiths and walks of life are welcome to apply.

  • There is a fee, which is different for each trip (call the number below for more information).  This helps to cover transportation, lodging and food while we are at the site.

Scholarships are available for those who may be unable to afford the fee. If you have any questions, contact Monica Saltarelli at 286-8409 or email ms@niagara.edu.

Music Ministry

Our celebrations need music!  Music that lifts the heart and spirit, music that we enjoy, participate in and sing.  To truly celebrate the mystery of our faith, we must sing the Lord's song, so singers, cantors and instrumentalists (guitarists, keyboardists, flutists, percussionists and brass players) are essential.

"Come make a joyful noise unto the Lord..."

The Alumni Chapel Choir is open to anyone who likes to sing or play an instrument. The 11AM Mass features inspiring, familiar hymns from the Catholic songbook, while the 10PM Mass blends traditional liturgy with contemporary praise and worship music. For more information or to get involved, please visit the Choir page.
