Mr. Overbeck joined the faculty in January 2009 as a visiting professor of marketing. In 2012 he was named a Faculty Fellow of Marketing. He is a 1975 graduate of Niagara University and has a Master of Business Administration from the State University of New York at Binghamton. Mr. Overbeck retired from IBM after 32 years where he served in numerous executive positions. His last position was as IBM's Managing Director for the Ford Motor Company. In this capacity he has led IBM's global efforts in support of Ford and its subsidiaries. His interests include bringing a real world prospective to Niagara University students and helping them prepare for their business careers.
Mr. Overbeck also serves as Treasurer of The Friends of the Niagara University Theatre and a director of the Heart, Love, and Soul Food Pantry in Niagara Falls, NY.
Mr. Overbeck’s current research interests concern how practical experiences improve students communications skills over the course of a semester and how the development and presentation of a marketing plan is essential to principles of marketing students.
