Welcome to the Web Site of the
Western New York Chapter of the
Catholic Library Association

The Western New York Chapter of the Catholic Library Association exists to:

  1. provide a source of inspirational support and guidance in ethical issues related to librarianship.

  2. foster fellowship to those who seek, serve, preserve, and share the Word in all its forms.

  3. improve library services through cooperation and the exchange of ideas among members.
In support of these goals, the Western New York Chapter:

  • sponsors a Spring and Fall Conference, as well as other activities, such as tours and day trips.

  • publishes a newsletter and maintains a web site.

  • keeps members informed about developments, policy issues, and activities of the Catholic Library Association.

  • develops cooperative relationships with associations having mutual interests.

  • provides opportunities for leadership training.

  • assists, when called upon, to help develop small libraries.

Membership in the Western New York Chapter of the Catholic Library Association is open to anyone interested in libraries.
