Niagara University Library
Computer Training Lab
The Library maintains a Computer Training Lab on the basement level of the building to the right. It is used to train students how to use Library databases to do research. But when it is not being used for training purposes, the Lab is available for students to work individually using Library databases, the Internet, or Microsoft Office.

There are fifteen computers. Each one has Windows XP and the following software:

  • Adobe Acrobat Reader
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer
  • Microsoft Office 2000
    • Access
    • Excel
    • FrontPage
    • PowerPoint
    • Word
  • SPSS 10.0
  • Telnet

Eleven of these computers have DVD/CD-R drives.

The Computer Training Lab is equipped with a networked printer. In order to print, you need a new and valid ID card.

  • Niagara University students and employees, please visit Room 108 in St. Vincent’s Hall to get a new ID card.

  • If you are not a member of the Niagara University community, you may purchase a card at the Circulation Desk on the first floor of the Library.

The Library sells 3.5" disks for 25 cents each and CD-Rs with jewel cases for $1.00 each. If you would like to purchase a disk or CD-R, please stop at the Circulation Desk on the first floor.
