The Library provides access to the following JSTOR collections:
Arts and Sciences I
This collection includes many of the core research and society published journals in economics, history, political science, and sociology, as well as in other key fields in the humanities and social sciences. It also includes a selection of titles in the more science-oriented fields of ecology, mathematics, and statistics.
Arts and Sciences II
This collection adds depth to many disciplines introduced in Arts & Sciences I, such as economics, history, and Asian studies. Arts & Sciences II also offers core journals in several new disciplines, such as archaeology, classics, and African, Latin American, Middle Eastern, and Slavic studies.
Arts and Sciences Complement
This collection contains additional journals that may be focused in any of the more than thirty arts, humanities, and social sciences disciplines covered by JSTOR. In this collection, JSTOR strives to introduce important titles that they were unable to include in earlier collections and to capture journals that cross discipline boundaries.
Language & Literature
This collection was developed with the help of the Modern Language Association and includes the full text of 58 core journals in the diverse fields of literary criticism that have emerged in the last thirty years.
Please note: JSTOR is not a current issues database. There is a gap, typically from 1 to 5 years, between the most recently published journal issue and the back issues available in JSTOR.
If you are a current student or employee of Niagara University, you may search JSTOR from off campus using your NU PurplePass logon (the same one you use to access myNU, your NU email account and WebAdvisor).
