Emerging Patterns in Catholic Higher Education Leadership

A National Study

Dear President or Key Administrator of a U.S. Catholic college or university,

Thank you for participating in this national study of emerging trends in the leadership of our institutions. We very much appreciate your time and reflection. Your comments and insights will be most helpful as we try to assemble a careful and detailed picture of several of the leadership issues confronting Catholic colleges and universities.

As you will see, there are two sets of information that we seek from you. First, we ask that you complete the survey itself. Secondly we ask that you forward a copy of your cv and, if you are a president, a list of the past presidents of your institution. (This enables us to ask far less questions in the survey itself.) You may send this electronically or by traditional mail, whichever you find more convenient.

More information on the study is available as indicated below. For now, please allow us to assure you that no information received as part of this study will be released to anyone beyond the research team itself, that no information will be shared with other members of your institutions, and that no individuals or institutions will be named when the results are published. The purpose of this study is to come to know broad, general trends, and the information that you provide us will be used for that purpose alone.

If you have further questions about this study, please feel free to contact the researchers as indicated below.

Respectfully,

Rev. Dennis H. Holtschneider, C.M.
