Off-campus Network Space Access

With Windows XP or Vista, it is easy to access your student network space from off-campus using the FTP protocol.

1) Go to Start -> My Computer and then select "My Network Places"

2) Select Add a network place and click Next.

3) Select Choose another network location and click Next.

4) Enter the address for the eagles server. It will be ftp://eagles.niagara.edu/home/s0000000 where s0000000 is your PurplePass username. Click Next.

5) Uncheck log on anonymously and enter your PurplePass username in the username field. Click next.

6) Choose a name for this shortcut and click next and then finish.

7) When you first open this connection, it will prompt you for a password. This is your PurplePass username + niagara.edu (example: s0123456@niagara.edu). If you'd prefer not to be prompted in the future, check Save password. Click Log On.

8) Your files will pop up. You can drag and drop files between your computer and this window.
