Dorm rooms on the NU campus, including the student apartments, are wired to our high-speed local area network. Students must fill out a form to sign up for service.

The primary purpose of the ResNet is to support NU students in their academic needs. Excessive recreational or abusive use of the network can result in service being terminated. If a student’s computer appears to be hacked or shows symptoms of a virus that impacts the network, service will be terminated until that computer is verified to be clean. Compromised computers are a danger to other computers on the network and the network itself.
