Education That Makes a Difference

Housing Fees and Deposits

Housing Costs for 2013-2014

  • Apartment - $9,580 per academic year
  • Double/Triple room - Residence Hall: $11,600 per academic year
  • Single room – Residence Hall: $12,500 per academic year

The university reserves the right to fill all empty beds in each residential area. Students may have the opportunity to “buy out” half-filled double rooms after the start of the fall and spring semesters. The cost is an additional $1,100 per academic year.

Deposits – Students who want to participate in room selection are required to pay a $300 housing deposit in order to secure their room for fall. It is strongly advised that students pay the $300 deposit prior to April 15, 2013, the first night of room selection. Students can participate in room selection and choose a room without the housing deposit, but their room assignment will not be confirmed until their housing deposit is paid. If a student’s housing deposit in not paid by May 31, 2013, they will forfeit their room and it will be reassigned to another student by the Office of Residence Life.

Students who want to pay their $300 housing deposit can do so by clicking here or by going to the Student Accounts website at www.niagara.edu/accounts and click on “Payments” and then on “Pay Housing Deposit.”

*Students currently living in the apartments who wish to live on campus next year will have their $500 damage deposit refunded to them - $300 will go towards their room deposit for next year, $100 will be kept as a damage deposit, and the remaining $100 will either be refunded or at the student’s request, or be put towards the total cost of their room.
