- Are the beds standard twin or extra long?
- The beds found in the residence halls are standard twin, not extra long. The beds in the apartments however are extra long.
- What are the dimensions of the rooms?
- Each room on campus varies greatly from building to building and even
from room to room in each building. The dimensions listed in the Rooms
section of the Information for New Residents are rough estimates and
should not be considered the definite dimension of your room.
- What is the size of the windows?
- Like the dimensions of the room, the windows all vary between hall and
room. The University does provide curtains or blinds for each room.
- Why does my bill reflect a non-single room when I asked for a single?
- All students are charged for a non-single room because billing is done
before placement is finalized. Your next bill will reflect the
additional charge for a single room, if you were placed in a single.
- Can I change my meal plan?
- Yes, you can change your meal plan through Hospitality Services. Please contact Hospitality Services with any other questions.
- Are freshmen allowed to have cars on campus?
- Yes, freshmen are allowed to have cars on campus. Please contact Campus Safety for all the details.
- I just read my Residence Hall Agreement. Do I need to send another $200 in?
- No, the $200 that you sent in to Admissions to reserve your spot in the
residence hall is the deposit referred to in the Agreement. You do NOT
need to send in another $200.
- When will I receive my room placement?
- Your placement will be sent out the beginning of August.
- Can I have my roommate’s telephone number?
- You can email us (housing@niagara.edu)
with a request to obtain your roommate’s phone number. As long as your
roommate marked that it was alright to release the phone number to a
roommate, we will notify you with the telephone number.
- I am an athlete, in ROTC, etc. Do I still need to complete housing information?
- Yes, regardless of what group you belong to, all students must complete housing information as room placements are not done without a Residence Hall Reservation Form. You must complete this form and return it to the Housing Office before a room / roommate will be assigned
