Please join us at the renowned Burchfield Penney Art Center as we explore the gallery and the special exhibition, “Heatwaves in the Swamp,” The Paintings of Charles Burchfield, which has been identified by The New Yorker as one of the top ten exhibitions in the United States in 2009.

Enjoy a gourmet dinner prepared by the legendary Oliver’s Restaurant and expertly paired with a selection of fine wines. Wines are provided courtesy of Prime Wines Corp., member of The Premier Group. Brought to you in cooperation with the Office of Continuing Education.

The gallery will be open from 6-7:30pm with private access to all exhibits including “Heatwaves in the Swamp,” The Paintings of Charles Burchfield. Docents will be on hand to assist and guide guests.

All that we ask of you is to attend this event - no preparation is necessary - to simply share your knowledge with students so that they receive career guidance and a more realistic picture of the work world. Students need role models and we are asking that you take the time to return to campus to help make a difference in the lives of our students through talking about careers and networking. Your guidance is especially appreciated in these very difficult economic times when new job entrants need all the help that they can get. This date is tentative. This event occurs during the Hotel Show in New York City and brings together 40 Niagara students with alumni, friends of the College, and industry leaders. Like the Convocation and Career Day, it is a wonderful networking opportunity for our College and its students. If you are in New York City at this time please attend this free event and bring your spouse and colleagues to meet our students. The attire is business and this free reception is from 6:00 – 8:00pm in the 4th floor Conrad Suite of the Waldorf=Astoria Hotel. Please RSVP to Katie Finamore as noted above for this event.
