Karl also holds the titles Certified Food & Beverage Executive and Certified Hotel Information Analysist. He has been an industry professional in the casino, hotel, food & beverage operations.

His most recent industry position was Corporate Director of Food & Beverage Special Projects for Harrah’s Entertainment, Inc., headquartered in Las Vegas Nevada. Prior to that he was with the Patriot American Hospitality/Wyndham International, Houston office, both as Director of Food & Beverage at the property level and as Regional Director of Food & Beverage for the Western United States and Canada.

He has a long history of involvement with the beverage industry in general and wine in particular. For some years he was part of the team for the Houston Chronical annual Texas-wide wine judging. While in Europe he also was a member of the team that tasted and ranked all the wine of the Balearic Islands of Spain. This resulted in special publications to assist tourist during their visits to the area.

His academic pursuits include Managing Director and Professor at UNLV Singapore, Head of the Hospitality Management Department at the International University of Applied Sciences in Bad Honnef Bonn, Germany.

He has also lent his expertise by working as a consultant with Wynn Resorts, Harrah’s Entertainment, and Casino Food & Beverage Solutions.
