Qualifications
Invitations to the honors program are sent to the following:
Graduating high school seniors who meet at least two of the following criteria:
- A cumulative high school average of at least 90%
- Graduation in the top 10% of their high school graduating class
- A combined SAT score of at least 1200 or ACT composite of 27
High school seniors must be willing to take the following honors courses over their 4 years at Niagara:
- REL 101 or REL 103
- 3 honors courses from the following general education courses: Upper Division Philosophy; Upper Division Religion; History 199; Analytical Skills; Cultural Diversity; Humanities; Natural Science; Social Science
- Honors enhanced course in student's major
- 2 semester honors thesis experience
Returning sophomores to NU who have attained a 3.50 GPA and be willing to complete the following honors courses over their 3 years at Niagara:
- 2 honors courses from the following general education courses: Upper Division Philosophy; Upper Division Religion; History 199; Analytical Skills; Cultural Diversity; Humanities; Natural Science; Social Science
- Honors enhanced course in student's major
- 2 semester honors thesis experience
