The History Department hosted a lecture on Underground Railroad history in Western New York by Dr. Kate Clifford Larson and a roundtable discussion on Thursday, February 4th. Dr. Larson has authored "Bound for Freedom: Harriet Tubman, Portrait of an American Hero." The event attracted dozens of attendees as well as the media attention:
The event also commemorates the recent establishment of the Niagara Falls Underground Railroad Heritage Commission and the work of the North Star Advisory Committee.
