- When planning an event, order water in a pitcher with cups instead of plastic bottles. Bottled water is really just filtered water, is expensive, and certainly isn't environmentally friendly.
- Use flourescent light bulbs when replacing incandescent light bulbs.
- When purchasing technology, particularly computers, consult with IT to make sure you are using energy efficient components. For example, using AMD's green chips you can use 30% of the energy a traditional Intel duo-core chip uses.
