Current Research

My current research interests include inquiry-based learning in science and mathematics, backward planning design and prospective teachers creation of quality WebQuests, social studies and social justice, and teacher education in developing countries.

Educational Background

I received a Ph.D. from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education/University of Toronto, an M.A. from the University on Toronto, and a B.A. from the University of Western Ontario.

Current Involvement

I serve as a consultant for Global Reach Children's Fund and their work in building a primary school (grades K-8) in Sululta, Ethiopia. My duties include input for the building design, curriculum planning, attainment of materials and resources for the education library, teacher recruitment, and teacher education. I am presently the conference coordinator for an upcoming conference for primary and middle school teachers in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
