Academic Programs
Niagara University offers a minor in gerontology and a gerontology concentration leading to the bachelor of arts degree in liberal arts.
Students completing a minor in gerontology are required to take the core introductory course, GRN 100: Introduction to Gerontology, plus four advised electives.
Students completing a bachelor of arts in liberal Arts with a concentration in gerontology are required to take GRN 100 (Introduction to Gerontology); 10 courses chosen from gerontology and two or three of the following disciplines: psychology, sociology, social work, biology, and the Senior Seminar (LABA 499, or Honors Thesis I & II). At least two courses, not including the Senior Seminar, must be at the 300 or 400 level. For other requirements associated with the liberal arts program, click here.
