Bachelor of Arts in French in the College of Education
Liberal Arts Requirement:   9 foundation courses;  11 distribution courses
Professional Requirement:  10 courses in the College of Education;  12 courses in language concentration

All students seeking provisional teaching certification must register with the College of Education.

Major Requirement:

FRE 103-104 Intermediate French Language*

FRE 205-206 Advanced Conversational French and Composition

FRE 308 Cultural History of France

ONE Francophone Culture Elective: FRE 305 or FRE 306 or FRE 307

TWO French or Francohone Electives at the 200 or 300 level

ONE French or Francophone Elective at the 300 or 400 level

THREE literature electives at the 400 level

* depending on the student's linguistic proficiency, he or she may place directly into the advanced 205-206 level, in which case, the student will gain two additional electives in French.
