Campus Activities
The Office of Campus Activities (CAO) oversees the administration
of all clubs and organizations on campus and acts as an information
clearinghouse for students. The CAO also helps make
the university community aware of a variety of events through publication
of activities calendars. All student organizations are welcome
to use these resources and are encouraged to join the "NU

Counseling
The counseling services office offers professional mental health
counseling that gives you an opportunity to explore and share any
situation, question or difficulty they may be experiencing. Counseling
can help you get to know yourself, communicate effectively, make
personal choices, help another grow, feel high self-esteem, have
a sense of purpose, grow from a crisis, learn how to use counseling
resources, make personal changes, and develop a wellness lifestyle.

Housing
Life
in the residence halls on campus can and should be your “home
away from home.” There are many people and programs put into
place to make sure you feel comfortable and cared about in your
new home. Your first and closest resource is your residence life
staff. Resident Assistants (R.A.s) are there to help answer your
questions, solve your problems and make the transition to your
college home a smooth one. You should always feel free to go to
them about any situation you encounter. If they can’t help
directly, chances are good that they will be able to point you
in the right direction. The Housing Office in O’Shea Hall
is only a phone call (or a few steps) away. Come visit us too – we
are always glad to see you!
Multicultural & International Student Affairs (MISA)
MISA stands for Multicultural and International Student Affairs. MISA is an Administrative office in NU’s Student Life Sector. MISA’s function is to do programming that assists Underrepresented Minority students, International students, and educates the entire campus on other cultures and cultural issues. We seek to help each student maximize their college experience through learning more about themselves as well as others. We create programs that will make Niagara an even more enjoyable place to be, and provide the information necessary for students to reach their goals. As we know each person defines what their individual success is, we look to support each students in developing this definition and making it a reality.
Recreation, Wellness
and Club Sports
Niagara’s intramural and
recreation program provides opportunities for you to constructively
use your leisure time and improve both physically and emotionally.
Approximately 25 intramural, fitness and instructional programs
are offered by Kiernan Center staff based on student interest.
The university’s club sports program offers you an alternative
to intercollegiate athletics and intramural sports. All clubs are
self-administered by elected student officers and are supported by
membership dues, fund-raising activities, donor contributions, and
sponsorships. If the university doesn’t have a club sport in
your interest area, it’s very easy to start a sports club on
campus. Stop by the Kiernan Recreation Center to
