Fee Structure - Room & Board Info.

Basic room rate for double and triple occupancy rooms is $5,650 per semester or $11,300 for the year. The following are additional fees that may be applicable to students based on their room selection:

  • Designed single: Additional $450 per semester
  • Designated single: Additional $550 per semester
  • Damage deposit: $100 charged to incoming residents and refunded upon withdrawal from housing
  • 2012 summer residents will be charged at the rate of $380 per week.

Board Plans (Included in Standard Room and Board charges, does not apply to students residing in student apartments)

  • Unlimited entrances per week with a $100 declining balance account and 8 guest tickets per semester
  • Up to 12 entrances per week with a $175 declining balance account and 6 guest tickets per semester
  • Up to 10 entrances per week with a $225 declining balance account and 4 guest tickets per semester

*All students are automatically placed on the 10 entrances, $225 declining balance. If you would like to change your board plan, choose any plan during the first two weeks of the semester from your myNU account. After two weeks, your meal plan can only be upgraded.

Commuter Meal Plans

  • Up to 30 entrances per semester with a $200 declining balance $480 per semester
  • Up to 60 entrances per semester with a $200 declining balance $700 per semester
  • Up to 100 entrances per semester with a $250 declining balance $970 per semester
  • Up to 60 entrances per semester with a $400 declining balance $900 per semester

Student Apartments

  • Student Apartments do not include meal plan (see above for Commuter Meal Plans if interested in university meal plans.)
  • Academic Year $9,300/yr or $4,650 per semester
