Students who major in English or minor in Writing Studies are strongly encouraged to complete a writing internship. In an internship, students work at a local business or organization and receive course credit (and sometimes compensation) for their work. You are also asked to write reports and discuss your experience with a faculty member. The objective of the program is to integrate classroom theory and practical work experience, thus lending relevancy to learning and providing students with a realistic exposure to career opportunities.
