English majors, minors, and Writing Studies minors at Niagara work to create a variety of on-campus publications. They also submit their work to local, regional, and national outlets.
If you are interested in submitting work to one of the publications or joining the staff, please contact us! Or, if you're interested in starting a publication, English professors would be glad to help you find support for your project.
Student Publications At Niagara
- The Index is Niagara's student newspaper.
- The Aquila is/was Niagara's student literary magazine, which was revived in Spring 2004.
- The Lamplighter is an online journal of student writing maintained by Dr. Little that "aims to expand the readership of student texts beyond the exposure afforded by the composition classroom. It also provides these texts--organized by genre--with the hope that teachers will use them to sponsor meaningful discussion in their own classrooms."
- The Niagaran is Niagara's yearbook.
- Niagara students have recently started the Niagara Poetry Club, which encourages students to share their poetry and compete in poetry competitions.
