Niagara's English department is staffed by nine full-time faculty members, all of whom hold Ph.D. degrees in a variety of specializations in English studies, including literature, creative writing, professional writing, and rhetoric and composition. Many of them are also crack croquet players. (Croquet is the official department sport.) A cadre of devoted and talented adjunct instructors also teach courses in the department.
