The fourth annual College of Education Teacher Recognition Pinning Ceremony will be held on April 9, 2008. Sponsered by Kappa Delta Pi, the Graduate Education Honor Society, this Future Teacher Recognition Ceremony highlights the achievement of our students who are "moving up"; that is embarking on the next phase of their program: Student Teaching!!
Invited to this Pinning Ceremony are undergraduates entering their student teaching placements this upcoming Fall 2008 and Spring 2009. Attended by faculty, staff, administrators in the College and current Kappa Delta Pi officers, it is a wonderful time to celebrate. Letters with more information will be sent by mail to those eligible students.
Please note: A special recognition will be given to an "Outstanding Faculty Advisor" as nominated by education students.

The College of Education is hosting an Induction Ceremony for students eligible to join Pi Lamba Theta, a prestigious national honor society in education. This event wil be held Thursday, April 24, 2008 at 4:30-6:00 pm in the Academic Complex, BIS 350. For details on membership, click here or contact the Dean's Office at 286-8560.

On Sunday, March 2, 2008, the College of Education hosted a Welcome Reception for newly accepted students and their families. Following Brunch and a campus tour, each family enjoyed complimentary tickets to the Niagara Univeristy vs. Canisius College Men's Basketball Game. Congratulations to the Purple Eagles!!

Last Fall, the College of Education freshman gathered to celebrate the construction of Niagara University's new Academic Complex, which opened in August 2007.
This state of-the-art facility features model Pre-Kindergarten - Grade 12 classrooms, cutting-edge instructional technology, interactive teaching labs, and a literacy center. Coupled with a new teaching studio, teacher candidates will have multiple opportunities to develop their portfolios and instructional skills to the highest levels.
