Mental Health Counselor, Alcohol/Drug Assessment Counselor
Dr. Morgan Brooks is an associate professor of Mental Health and School Counseling, as well as a New York State Licensed Mental Health Counselor and the Substance Abuse Assessment Counselor for Niagara University. She is also a Nationally Certified Counselor. She received her Bachelor's in Psychology from Tulane University and her Master's and Doctorate in Counselor Education from the University of New Orleans. Her research interests include Adult Children of Divorce, Relationship Issues, and Personality Disorders. Dr. Brooks has worked in the Tulane University Counseling Center in addition to the Niagara University Counseling Center. At Tulane, she provided both mental health and career counseling. She also co-led group in the New Orleans community for mandated female violent offenders. Further, she worked with 1 to 5 year olds as a Play Therapist at the University of New Orleans. She has worked with children, adolescents, adults, couples, groups and families. Her areas of specialty include diagnosis and treatment of Axis II disorders, grief work, substance abuse assessment, and general mental health counseling.
