Conferences and Events Team Organizing Summer Events
Catherine Schweitzer meets with the students from NU's College of Hospitality and Tourism Management.
The Hospitality Training & Research Center is collaborating with Continuing Education by actively soliciting events that can be hosted on campus over the summer. A student run Conferences and Events team has also been organized under the direction of Dr. Debbie Curtis. This group of students will be gaining valuable hands-on experience in conference operations. Summer classes are being offered to those interested. Students will rotate in their positions and get a full understanding on how to run an event.
Current groups utilizing the university facilities include: The Empire State Games, Pioneer Soccer Tournament, The NYS Association for College Admission Counseling, The Buffalo Sabres Rookie Camp, and many more.
