After you have identified and talked with an intern employer, contact your faculty adviser to fill out the appropriate paperwork. Once all signatures have been obtained (student, on-site supervisor, faculty supervisor, co-op coordinator) you will be automatically registered for the appropriate credits.
No. Internships are optional but highly recommended.
Yes. Internship credit is just like any other course, you will be billed per credit. This is also true for summer session credits.
Internships carry variable credit; however, most are worth 3 credits (equivalent of one course). On rare occasions, arrangements can be made for fewer or more credits.
Internships are graded on a satisfactory/unsatisfactory basis, which does not impact your GPA.
A 3 credit internship = 150 hours = one course
There are a limited number of on-campus internships at Niagara University. These include positions with the Public Relations Department, the Alumni Relations Office, the Information Technology Department, and the Athletic Information Office. These positions are competitive and must be applied for just as any other internship.
