Bio

David holds a Master of Fine Arts in production design from Michigan State University, a Bachelor's degree in theatre, and an Oral Communication Certificate with distinction from Marietta College.  As a freelance scenic designer he has over one hundred designs to his credit throughout the Eastern United States. Some of his favorite designs include: Tartuffe at LiveArts Theatre, Blood Brothers and The Full Monty at The Mount Washington Valley Theatre Company, Pumpboys and Dinettes and Tuesdays with Morrie at The Mountain Playhouse, Plough and the Stars, The Liar and After Miss Julie at The Irish Classical Theatre Company, Avenue Q and Mauritius at SUNY Brockport, Twelfth Night at Shakespeare in Delaware Park, and The Conversion of Ka’ahumanu at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian. He was also production designer of a film adaptation of King Lear filmed in Washington DC. At Niagara University he is the principal Scenic Designer and teaches courses in theatre design and technology. Some of his favorite designs at Niagara include: A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Urinetown the Musical, The Learned Ladies, Into the Woods, Bat Boy, The Philadelphia Story, and Sweeny Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.
