Description:

What makes a great film and why do we watch them over and over?  Entertain yourself and bring some friends and you dive into the movies.  Watch parts of some great movies and discuss some significant American films made from the 1950s to 1980s before digital impacted the industry.  The films will explore relevant social issues, storytelling, camera work and editing.  Films will include: On the Waterfront (1954); Night of the Hunter (1955); Badlands (1973); Something Wild (1986) and others.  Two free tickets to the movies will be raffled to a local movie theater for a registered student.
