NU DANCELINE
INTRODUCTION
Niagara University Danceline is a performance dance team that performs at many Niagara
University athletic events and local community events. Danceline is a club sport
under rules of the Student Government. Try-outs for the Danceline Club will be held
in September. Notices will be posted around campus and in the dorms. Last
year's team consisted of 17 dancers. The dancers come from a wide variety of dance
& recreational backgrounds (jazz, ballet, lyrical, pointe, modern, hip-hop, tap,
acro,
baton, gymnastics and cheerleading). In past years the dancers each bring various
achievements to the team. Practices vary from two to four times a week.

REQUIREMENTS AND FUNDING
Students must maintain a cumulative 2.0 QPA to participate in
Danceline. The
team is funded by money received from the Niagara University Student Government
Association (NUSGA), fund raising activities and member dues. All club sports are
required to perform community service to receive funds that have been allocated by the
NUSGA. Look for them to be supporting the Niagara University Community in many
facets of campus life, sporting events and activities!
