CASTELLANI ART MUSEUM/NIAGARA UNIVERSITY: Niagara University, New York
The Niagara University location was chosen because of the Castellani Art Museum's role in initiating this public sculpture project. Placed to the left of the museum as you face the building, it extends a pleasant contrast to the other nineteen and twentieth century sculptural pieces surrounding the structure.
The sculpture is not just for looks; this is interactive art! Try out the mirror, touch the engravings, and open the cellar door.
Take note of the artists' efforts to preserve the ambiance of the era the sculpture represents. In creating these artworks, they aimed to transport the viewer into a realm of emotional and spiritual contemplation.
