Professor Oddo joined the faculty in 1972. He received his CPA from New York State in 1971 and his Master of Business Administration from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1976. He is the Chair of the Accounting Department and the Associate Director of Niagara University's Center for International Accounting Education and Research.
Professor Oddo's current research interests include innovative education methods, business ethics, and international accounting issues. His publications include computer software programs and numerous journal articles and conference presentations. He has presented seminars for accounting educators around the country on the user approach to teaching accounting.
Professor Oddo is a member of the New York State Society of CPAs, the Institute of Management Accountants and the American Accounting Association. Among his many service activities, he coordinates the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program and Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE). He received the Sears Roebuck award for teaching excellence and campus leadership and the Vincentian Service award.
