Beta Gamma Sigma 

The mission of Beta Gamma Sigma is to encourage and honor academic achievement in the study of business and to foster personal and professional excellence among its members.  Beta Gamma Sigma is the honor society serving business programs accredited by AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.  Membership in  Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest recognition a business student anywhere in the world can receive in a business program accredited by AACSB International.

Beta Alpha Psi is an international honorary organization for Financial Information students and professionals. The primary objective of Beta Alpha Psi is to encourage and give recognition to scholastic and professional excellence in the business information field. This includes promoting the study and practice of accounting, finance and information systems; providing opportunities for self-development, service and association among members and practicing professionals, and encouraging a sense of ethical, social, and public responsibility.

The Everett W. Ockerman Awards

For excellence in economics and finance, human resource management, international business, management, marketing, supply chain management and accounting. The award consists of a plaque presented to a graduating senior selected by the faculty from each of the above mentioned academic concentrations. The awards ceremony also acknowledges all senior students who excel in each of the disciplines. The official ceremony begins with the Everett W. Ockerman Lecture, presented by a member of the faculty. The lecture becomes a permanent addition to the Niagara University's Library holdings.

The Ockerman Awards are named for Dr. Everett W. Ockerman, former Chairman of the Department of Commerce. Dr. Ockerman joined the Niagara faculty in 1946. He served as head of the department from September 1953 until his retirement in May of 1975.

For excellence in business studies to a student chosen by the faculty and Dean of the College of Business Administration. The gift of Dow Jones & Company, Inc.

The Financial Management Association (FMA) Honor Society

Recognizes scholastic achievement through induction of students who have demonstrated superior scholarship. Individuals accepted for membership in the Honor Society have the distinction of belonging to the ONLY international honorary which specifically recognizes the achievement of finance majors and demonstrates their expertise in areas such as financial economics and decision making.

The Lt. Lynch Memorial Award

For excellence in Philosophy, College of Business Administration. In Memory of Lt. John R. Lynch, ’55. The gift of Friends.

McGowan Scholars

The honor was established to recognize the contributions of William G. McGowan to the world of business. It honors outstanding seniors or graduate students.

Omicrom Delta Epsilon

One of the world’s largest academic honor societies with over 560 chapters located in the United States, Canada, Australia, United Kingdom, Mexico, Puerto Rico, South Africa, Egypt and France. Students do not have to be economics majors, but must have a genuine interest in economics in addition to meeting the academic requirements. Interested students should contact William A.
