Rosemond Desir
Department of Accounting
Rosemond Desir joins the Accounting Department from the University of Massachusetts - Amherst, Amherst, MA. He is a Ph.D. candidate in accounting with a minor in Econometrics. His dissertation topic is “The Economic and Accounting Implications of Statement of Financial Accounting Standards No. 141 on Mergers and Acquisitions in the US.” His research and teaching interests include earnings management, international accounting and financial accounting.

Dr. Lerong He
Department of Commerce
Dr. Lerong He comes to Niagara from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania where she received her Ph.D. in Management. Her dissertation topic was An Integrated System of Corporate Governance: Regulation, Internal Control and Stewardship. Her research interests are in corporate governance, business policy and strategy, entrepreneurship, and human resource policies. She will be teaching our Capstone course Business Strategy and Policy and Entrepreneurship.
Patricia Johnson
Department of Accounting
Patricia Johnson is welcomed as a visiting professor on a one year appointment. She is a Certified Public Accountant with a broad variety of experience - education, industry and public accounting. She is a consultant with a small accounting practice that focuses on clients that are service and not-for-profit entities as well as individual tax clients. She will be teaching Financial Accounting, Advanced Accounting and Fraud Examination and Economic Crime.
Dr. Mikhail Melnik
Department of Commerce
Dr. Mikhail Melnik joins the Commerce Department from Georgia State University where he received his Ph.D. in Economics. His dissertation topic was Issues in the Economics of e-Commerce. His areas of interest are in public economics, applied microeconomics, and industrial organization. He will be teaching Principles of Macroeconomics, Principles of Microeconomics as well as courses for our graduate program.
Dr. Ann Rensel
Department of Commerce
Dr. Ann Rensel recently received her Ph.D. from the State University of New York at Buffalo where she majored in Management Information Systems with a minor in Production/Operations Management. Her dissertation topic was An Investigation of the Determinants of Transactional Website Use from Publicly Located Computers. Before her appointment to this position, she taught courses at Niagara University for the Department of Computer and Information Sciences and the MBA program. Her research interests are in technology adoption and usage and media richnes and the impact of technology choice. She will be teaching Management Principles, Management Information Systems as well as Production and Operations Management for our graduate program.
Dr. Craig Seal
Department of Commerce
Craig Seal received his Ph.D. from the School of Business at George Washington University. He majored in Organizational Behavior and Development and his dissertation topic was “Emotional Intelligence: Emotional Ability as a Moderator between Emotional Competency and Performance Outcomes”. Before his appointment to Niagara, Craig was an accomplished manager and executive with ten years of industry experience in non-profit, real estate, and staffing. He received his MA in Counseling Psychology from Boston College and a BS in Psychology from Santa Clara University. His scholarship in the field of emotional intelligence includes an article in Human Performance, multiple conference proceedings, an entry to the upcoming Encyclopedia of Organizational Studies and Organizational Management Journal. Craig is the recent recipient of the Board of Advisors Doctoral Student Award for Outstanding Commitment to School of Business, at The George Washington University. He will be teaching Introduction to Labor and Human Resource Management, Organizational Development and Management Principles.
