    Community members participated in their final Disaster Simulation Exercise to complete their CERT Training held at the Town Line Fire Hall in conjunction with the Lancaster Office of Emergency Management.

    National Preparedness Month began with a press conference where community leaders spoke on the importance of being prepared for any type of emergency.The day ended with Ready Rex, FEMA mascot, throwing out the first pitch at the Buffalo Bisons game.

    Niagara County residents participated in their final Disaster Simulation Exercise to complete their CERT Training held at the Miller Hose Fire Co.

  • Niagara Air Base Mare Drill (25)

    Border Community SERVICE, in partnership with CERT members and Boy Scouts participated in the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station Mass Accident Response Exercise (MARE) on June 11. The purpose of this exercise was to simulate a multiple agency emergency response to an aircraft accident.

    About 100 Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and Leaders enjoyed a full day workshop at Niagara University to receive their Boy Scout Emergency Preparedness Merit Badge or Girl Scout Emergency Preparedness Patch.
