Dr. Robert S. Greene was appointed to the Biology faculty in 1981 after completing his Ph.D. in Cell Physiology at SUNY Buffalo. Dr. Greene also presently holds an assistant cancer research scientist appointment at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, NY, and is an Army Reserve Medical Service Corps officer assigned to the US Army Medical Research Institute at Fort Detrick, Maryland. His current teaching assignments include courses in human and molecular pathophysiology and bioanalytical techniques. Dr. Greene's research is focused on the molecular biology of cancer and the processes of apoptosis, or programmed cell death. Dr Greene is also the Chair of the Pre-Medical Admissions Committee and is the Council on Undergraduate Research Liaison for the University.
