Bio

Dr. Mayer joined the Niagara faculty in 2005 as an assistant professor. After one year as Niagara University's MBA director, he has taken on a full-time teaching position. Dr. Mayer has achieved a wide variety of degrees including a B.S. from Syracuse University, a B.S. in photogrammetric engineering from the SUNY College of ESF, a B.S.C.E. in Civil Engineering, an MBA, and a Ph.D. in International Trades - all from the State University of New York at Buffalo.

He is an accomplished CEO, general manager and professional engineer with expertise in many diverse areas. Some of Dr. Mayer’s professional positions include vice president of operations, corporate director of marketing, project manager and executive consultant and owner of Mayer Consulting.

Current Research

Dr. Mayer’s primary area of research include fascinating topics such as organizational leadership, project management, operations, marketing, quality control and strategic planning.

Current Involvement

Aside from being very active in both the professional and educational realms, Dr. Mayer is also active in many extracurricular organizations. He was once the president for The International Bridge, Tunnel & Turnpike Association as well as the Association of International Border Agencies. Aside from these activities, Dr. Mayer also was a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the founding member of Continental One.
