Niagara University invites applications for an interdisciplinary full time tenure track position at the Assistant Professor level beginning in Fall 2009. The scholar will support the International Studies program and the Department of Modern and Classical Languages, and will contribute to the developing program in Middle Eastern studies.
The successful candidate must have a strong grounding in international relations theory, preferably with a concentration in Middle Eastern politics and society. The candidate must be proficient enough in Arabic to teach undergraduate language courses in literature and culture, relating to his or her area of specialization, as well as courses in English. Ability to contribute to the Women's Studies program would also be an asset.
