Bio

Josie returned to her hometown of Buffalo, N.Y., in 2010 after years of living in Los Angeles and working extensively in TV, (Friends, NYPD Blue, CSI:NY, 24, Desperate Housewives, Weeds, and many others), film and theater. Local roles include those in the acclaimed all-female Macbeth, (Shakespeare in Delaware Park); Rock-n-Roll-directed by NU Theatre’s own Doug Zschiegner-and Noises Off (Kavinoky); You Say Tomato, I Say Shut Up, (Rochester's DCT); the critically acclaimed one woman show, Dai (Enough!), (Jewish Repertory Theatre, 2014 Artie Award - Outstanding Actress, and Spree's Best of WNY - Best Actress); and Gideon's Knot, (Buffalo Laboratory Theatre). Josie teaches Styles, Shakespeare, and On-Camera Acting here at Niagara, and has taught Auditioning for the Camera at NYU’s Stonestreet Studios while also coaching privately. A scenic artist, Josie has been charge artist on sets from the west to east coast, including Almost Maine, Pirates of Penzance and Curtains for NU Theatre. Buffalo audiences can see her in Fall 2015 in My Name is Asher Lev at the JRT, and in January 2016 in All My Sons at the Irish Classical Theater Company.
